Interestingly, though, it is based on the teachings of Alfred Adler, who believed Napoleon was so driven because he needed to compensate for being short. In reality, that likely isn't true, because the average height of a French male at that time was slightly less than 5'6", so Napoleon was actually slightly taller than average.
