I'm too lazy and too lacking in all the tie breakers knowledge to work it myself.

The first two to match will get positive reps. (assuming matching orders signify correctness)

Why do teams who play an easier schedule get rewarded with a higher draft pick?

Why do teams who play an easier schedule get rewarded with a higher draft pick?

The logic is with an easier opponents' W/L record, they should have had a better record themselves, and therefore they are worse than the other teams.

1 Detroit 2-11-0 .503
2 Oakland 2-11-0 .544

So Detroit has a worse opponents SoS, then they should have been better than Oakland, so the conclusion is Detroit is the worse team, and gets the higher pick.

15's pretty solid.

I'm pulling for all those 6-8 teams along with Atlanta to win, and then I'll hope we lose tiebreakers.

Do the math.

To lose a tiebreaker with a 6-8 team that wins out, we need to win a game.

No one wants to lose to Oakland, regardless of draft position. However, I'd rather not win a COMPLETELY meaningless game against Jacksonville -- which we probably won't, so there's really nothing to worry about.

You need to re-read your Chiefs history on these types of games.

Anyone know the conditions of this???

I'm not overly concerned with the math.

I'm just projecting expectations.

I will be surprised if the Chiefs win either of the two remaining games.

We often win meaningless games.

We don't often beat good teams when we stink.

I think we have to finish within something like five spots of DC for our picks to swap. The deal was incredibly convoluted. I heard at the time that the NFL almost didn't OK the pick because there were so many conditions involved. Basically it was a bet between both franchises as to which one would have better records and DC is losing badly.
