It was neandrathal, and put Trent in a horrible position, which he could not succeed in vs that D. Prior to the game being 20-3 and out of reach, We had 20 1st down plays SIXTEEN of them were runs. Against a team that you want to keep off balance, 1st down is your best shot to pass. We had 19 second down plays, THIRTEEN were runs. 2nd down is your next best chance to have the D guessing. He coached SCARED today, but what else is new? Congratulations Herm, you've completed your dismantling of the NFL's best Offense of the 2000's. I knew he'd do it, but I didn't think he'd do it this quickly and this completely. I'm sure there will be the few remaining that will blame Roaf retiring, Trent being hurt, the moon, the stars, and other such nonsense for this, but the main culprit is and has been clear, and stands on our sideline.

Although the overall sentiment of your thread has been beaten to death, I didn't realize the actual breakdown between passes and runs. That's insane.

He said he wouldn't screw with this offense, but they did. I think it would've been fine to implement the run run run etc....bs in the 4th qtr like mid 4th....to win.

Yep,just think the J-E-T-S could finish with a better record than KC

The sad thing, is that everyone could see it coming.

We all knew after the first game that Herm had every reason he ever wanted to castrate the offense.

I know what you Chiefs fans are going through. Been there with Herm for 5 years. It will NOT get any better.

You guys like the dumbfounded look he uses for gameday yet? Get used to it.

Yeah, theres plent about Herm that has REALLY started to piss me off.
But where do Jets fans get off criticising a guy who took you to the playoffs 3/5 years???

Lombardi couldnt have done anything with the wreck that was your final season with Herm.

Your team was an up & coming force for most of his time there, we would LOVE to see the playoffs 3 times in 5 years.

39 plays on 1st and 2nd down. 29 runs.

In-freakin'-credible.

I wonder what our average 3rd down distance was.

Last season was a disaster, but did you ever think WHY it was? Maybe because Herm took an injured(not truly 100%) Chad and kept him in there until he really got decked? Herm knew Chad wasn`t 100% and put him in regardless. He also ran Martin into retirement. Then he made claims he wasn`t going to leave the Jets, blah, blah, blah, and where is he now? The guy is a farce.

All those playoff appearances were because of what Parcells had left him. The Jets headed downhill consistently after Herm arrived. Believe me, I`ve seen some crazy shit done by this coach. Poor player management(ie: never playing the young kids, getting rid of LaMont Jordan, pulverizing Curtis Martin into his retirement, etc..), extremely poor game management. Fired assistant coaches just to keep his ass on the payroll. Lots of stuff that you Chiefs fans will get to see. The Chiefs were an up and coming team with a superb running game and a decent D. It`s all coming into focus now. The Chiefs will be worse than the Jets and the Chiefs have by far a better roster.

The Chiefs were using a ton of max protection. There were only 2 or 3 receivers in the routes most of the time. I absolutely abhor that type of play. It's just asking for a coverage sack against good defenses and look what happened! That's why there were five ****ing defenders around Samie Parker on the second INT.

Where's Bill Parcells (our favorite Jetfan) when you need him?

Dude, we've heard it all before.
Thanks for dropping by.

Now shut the **** up.

Yep, and thus the biggest question going into the season was answered with 1/4 still left and that was would the defense improve enough to compensate for the loss of offense? NO! The Cleveland game showed us that in that we lost it like so many under DV. Herm came to town talking like he had the answers for past collapses (defense, road wins, etc.) and he proved he didn't. The Chiefs played themselves into contention and then fell flat on their faces once again. In any case, this season is over and as long as Herm's in KC, I won't be getting my hopes up for anything. Herm is a FKN DISASTER.

You know, the thing that bothers me is that we don't seem to have the ability to recognize when the "game plan" isn't working, Mr. TEX. It seems like, given all the experience Hermie has, he could tell that we're getting our asses handed to us in a china teacup and modify his approach.

But, nooooo.
