It is pretty simple...

Vermeil is far superior to Herm
Al Saunders is a billion times superior to Solari
Goonther is mediocre trash

So basically our defense this season gave up only 40 fewer yards than last season, yet there's a 10 spot difference in NFL rankings?!?!

Pretty much same with points given up. Only 10 less points given up this season. It's not that much of a change. We're still crap on defense.

The offense however dropped dramatically.

I agree that right now we're not very good on either side of the ball but this is Herm's 1st year as the HC. I imagine that by year 3, the roster will be pretty much turned over from when he got here.

Furthermore, it's useless comparing our team to the 2005 squad. Both teams were not good enough to make it to the playoffs. I don't care what the stats say.

Then again, if anyone would have said last offseason we would loose our starting QB, both o-tackles, starting FB and back up FB, I really wouldn't have thought we would have done as well as we did this year let alone won more than 5 games. Hopefully, we will get a lot better this offseason and come back and kick ass next year.

Slow down, you're making way too much sense for threads like this.
