I may have missed it. I know everyone is expecting it to be Clark Hunt, but I have seen nothing that confirms it over one of his siblings or perhaps the siblings now own the team as a group.

Any factual data or link appreciated.

Clark's the man. He has control of everthing. The other siblings seem to be content to collect their profits. Clark is the "sports guy" of the bunch.

Hopefully at this point, no news is good news.

They've all owned close to 25% of this team for a long time. Clark's been the man to take over for his father for quite some time now.

This is nothing to worry about. In fact, I'm a bit excited to see what Clark will do with this team. I dont want Al Davis, but a little more of a "hands on" aproach might not be a bad thing.

Didn't Lamar get out of it a couple of years ago, even though he was basically the point man?

that's why I always find it amusing when people say Lamar just cared about money, when he only owned one percent of the team for almost ten years.

My first thought was "Cleveland" but I suppose that isn't very funny right about now

He left everything in his will to Carl Peterson...

Just curious, do the rest of the owners have to approve of the "new" owner like when someone wants to buy a team?

Yes, they do but its a formaility when its a son. Besides he's represented the Hunt family for 2 years at NFL meetings.

So it won't be "official" until the winter meetings I would guess.

It has been "official" for years and years. In fact, Lamar's official role with the Chiefs has been "Founder" for almost 2 years. Lamar has been a figurehead only. There's nothing for the other team owners to vote on.

In catching a few Lamar tributes. How he handled turning the team over to his family was said to be a blue print for future owners

Yeah some owner got caught without the right paperwork etc and the family had to pay millions in tax to keep from losing the team.

Just one of many firsts that Lamar incorporated.

One of my favs is that Arrowhead is the first pro "football" based stadium.

As it should be.
