Question for the stock gurus.

What would make a mutual fund drop 7 percent in one day? I've got a Global fund that's down that much today, even though it looks like most markets are up. I can't find any new news about the fund, and I don't see anything in my account about a big one-time dividend or anything.

A mutual fund shouldn't move that fast, particularly counter to the markets. What's up?

I wouldn't worry to much about it...SHORT TERM....If the trend continues throughtout a week or so then you should question moving....Funds often drop significantly then bounce right back....Your probably in for the long haul thus will be fine...

It affects my ability to afford to go to games. If I can't go to a game, then that seat gets taken by someone who won't yell the precise, carefully researched and crafted words that will shatter Jay Cutler's self-confidence. If that doesn't happen, then perhaps the Broncos win at Arrowhead, costing us a playoff spot and ending up with some weird team like the Falcons hoisting the Lombardi in 2007 instead of the Chiefs.
