I used to be into WSP and the hippy scene, but they need to bring in more underground rock bands to Wakarusa.

wakarusa is for the hippies, not for the underground rock fans..

also, with the addition of WSP, the BO-laden hippie crowd will be out en masse

The Mars Volta seemed to go over well at Bonnaroo.

true, but bonnaroo has been making an effort to bring more mainstream acts every year...it's definitely gotten a lot more commercial since its 1st year

i'm not saying that rock wouldn't go over well at wakarusa, just that the organizers aren't trying to imitate bonnaroo...

waka has had non-jam acts the last few years, including wilco and the flaming lips, but those bands are pretty jam-friendly on their own
