I saw Ford's press secretary on TV today. He said Ford got a laugh out of Chase and actually invited Chase to the White House to play him in tennis as they were both tennis players. Chase took him up on the offer. Ford appeared in SNL after his presidency. He acutally did the " Live from New York..." line. I think Ford was probably the last "regular guy" the White House has seen.
