Ok guys, any of the things you do during playoff games these past few times are not working. It is time to change things up. Maybe you put on the wrong jersey? Maybe you were praying to the wrong god? Maybe the menu wasn't what it should have been.

How are you going to do your part to change things up and get a playoff win?

We had the mojo going this weekend to not only get a win but to get the three hometeam losses, so I have to go with what worked on Sunday. Despite the 30mph wind gust I put up the Chiefs Buddy Lee 8' blow up doll, I wore my Jeff Webb jersey and my daughter wore her Damon Huard jersey.

The Webb jersey was a clearance rack Morton jersey that I undid the stitching on the name tag, and my daughters Huard jersey used to be my sons Grbac jersey. Cheap? Yes, but at least this just required peeling off the stitching. After Grbac left I took my brand new Grbac jersey and peeled off the screen printed 'bac', and used white fabric marker to change it to 'een', and peeled out the middle line of 8 to make it a 0.

As some of you know at my tailgate right before we close it down and go into the stadium we perform a little ritual that has resulted in victories 13 out of 14 times. We forgot one time last year and then again this year when we lost to the Bengals and we lost. This year the Ravens lose is the only blemish on the karma.

We always have a snack tray out. Various salty snacks etc. the crumbs that are left in the football tray are taken to the middle of the huddle. A silent prayer to the football gods is perfomed and the crumbs are tossed into the air, mostly on the hundreds of people going into the stadium next to our tailgate. They don't seem to like it much but f%k em...... you don't mess with karma....
