Baby ..... twice right out of the box

The colts defense is gonna be freakin stoked to stop the run ....

Saunders is back and should just jump the first run attempts.

first offense play for the Chiefs, play-action-pass to Gonzo down the seam for 25 yards.

2nd offensive play, play-action-pass to Kennison on a double move up the sideline for a touchdown.

Touchdooooooooown, Kansaasss Ciiity!!! PBJ

It's THE key to the game, IMO.

If we do it early and well, we have a shot.

If they put 8-9 in the box every down because we don't, then a Chief's victory hinges on a great game by Green (which given his lack of protection, is unlikely.)

As long as we don't start off with that lame fake reverse handoff to Dante and Green throwing a screen pass to LJ into the artificial turf...

Me too. Its horrible

I remember when Columbia, MO got its first Imos when I was in school. All the St. Louis folks were thrilled, said it was awesome, so I went and tried it. BLECH!

Yet another reason to hate those pricks.

I happily went back to Minskys (and Shakespeare's).

Oh, BTW, back on topic:

Run some draws on obvious passing situations, too. You mix up play-action and draws the whole game, the Colts will be totally fugged up.

My senior year, I basically lived at The Missourian, right across the street. Lunch every day was a giant slice and a soda. Good times.

Exactly. If we do that, we will be in the game, and could pull it out. We run-run-pass, and we won't win.

You do that effectively, and LJ has a 200 yard day. :D

I'd love to see the Chiefs come out with some downfield passes off playaction but the key to playaction is going to be how well they can pass protect and give Trent/Damon the time to get the playfake off

I've been saying this myself. I hope Herm has the guts to do this. All this talk about LJ, LJ, LJ should catch em off guard.

If Trent runs out onto the field wearing a throwback DeBerg jersey, I'm going to smile.

He'd have to be wearing the finger cast to make me smile...

I want to see a hook and lateral and maybe a Statue of Liberty.

The Statue of Liberty would work wonders with the Chiefs offense considering how much the Colts are going to be focused on stopping LJ.

Of course that would require Solari to have an ounce of imagination

We need to use playaction down the middle, we need to use WR screens, the end around, outs. Everything around the perimeter to keep the safeties back and the corners from cheating on the run.

8 guys in the box are going to slow any running back down. We gotta keep the extra guy out of there, and maybe occupy another one or two.

We obviously want to use playaction, but don't get too cute. We need to pound the football. This is not just a bad run defense, this is one of the worst run defenses in the history of football.

The Colts might not even be 8-0 at home if some of these teams kept running at will.
