On your paltry 40"? Bah! My wife's cousin's 60" laughs at your cute little TV! :)

Another thing that sucks is I'm going to miss the first pasrt of the gmae. Daughter has a basketball game at 2:30. :banghead:

Ah - that's good. I'm just glad you're watching in HD. I actually want a smaller TV. 55" is just a hair too big for my area. 50" would be perfect.

Said wife's cousin also works out at Nebraska Furniture Mart, and told me the discount he receives on the 70" LCD Vega. I get wood just thinking about it. The problem is I'm worried it will be TOO overwhelming if I plunk it in my flophouse.

Anticipating a celebratory meal I'm heading to the local meat market for a couple of their prettiest ribeyes. I'll saute some shrimp in a butter sauce to pour over the steaks, serve it up with a nice salad and baked potato. It's a special occasion, after all.

My problem isn't just visual. I have a little niche in which the TV sits on the diagonal. I was planning to build a large builtin unit for the TV and stereo. It's going to take some creativity to get that sucker to sit in there flush.

70"? Wow! I'd have to put that in my garage and watch from the master bedroom. Otherwise my head would have to be on a swivel to see the whole picture. I have a 42" plasma, but the seating is only about 8' from the screen. It's quite nice.

My parents have a 65" regular big screen with HD. HD and movies its bad a$$, but regular DirectTv blurs the picture quite a bit.

Yeah, his deal on it is almost too good to pass up, but I'm afraid my head would explode watching it.

The new Xbox 360 sure would look good on it, though.....

Hirschbraten in Burgunder Sosse, Rotkohl, Green Beans and Mashed potatoes with a glass of red wine. Champagne chilled for the imminent victory celebration.

Edit. The homebrew will be flowing like a river today. Will sautee some Champignons in butter at halftime and have them with some of the Hirschbraten leftovers. (Hirschbraten = German Deer Roast).

Bread and Butter jalapenos? If you don't mind please PM me the canning recipe for those. They sound awesome. I only grew and canned Banana peppers last year. I am going to plant various types of peppers this year (Banana, Jalapeno, Anaheim, Serrano Chile, Red Cayenne and Hungarian Wax).

Done.

Banana peppers rock too. I love to slice them lengthwise and roast them on the grill with my bratwurst. One of our other favorites is to stuff some of the larger anaheims with a sausage/cream cheese mixture and bake them.

OK, I'm envious.

If you have a pressure cooker, you can have some in 15 minutes. It's probably the easiest thing to cook and you can adjust everything to your taste or based on what you have in the fridge. I started making it for a catering gig on Thanksgiving and I make it about once a week now.

Thanks a million bro! I pickled my Banana Peppers last year and they are awesome. I also used some of them in my super duper secret massively awesome salsa that I canned.
