Updating a previous item, Alex Marvez, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports the Miami Dolphins are expected to interview New York Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer Wednesday, Jan. 10, for the team's head coaching vacancy.

Yep. And the fact that Mangini, who is no idiot, hired him as OC in the first place.

Appears that he learned well under Spurrier and Cam Cameron and ignored his father.

It's not WHO you know, it's WHO knows you. He's played for and been an assistant under Spurrier, been a QC for his father, assistant at USC under Hackett, QB coach at the Chargers (Brees & Rivers) and successfully coordinated the Jets into the playoffs with two rookie offensive lineman.

I think at the very least, he's earned an interview.

He'll get the job, Miami plays Denver next year. Anything to make Denver's schedule easier.
