I remember as a kid in the midwest one of our funnest times in winter at night was to throw snowballs at the cars the high school guys were cruising around town in, and if we hit one particularily hard, the chase was on....most of the time we'd evade capture...once in a while, we'd get caught, and get our faces rubbed in the snow until we thought we'd suffocate, but we never got stabbed. But that was the midwest in the 60's, not Portland in 2007.

Sign of times changing, right?

I lived in colorado as a kid (don't worry was never a donkey fan) we had a fort on the side of a partial cliff on the mountain by the roadway going past our homes. We'd get up there and throw snow balls down on the cars, not bright, but the chase was the best part. we had escape routes up the rest of the mountain and hiding places, it was a blast. the worst thing that ever happened to one of us caught was shaken and yelled at.
