a co-worker went last weekend and she brought me back some cards.

Apparently, "Lucy" specializes in hot one-on-one action with satisfaction guaranteed. She is direct to your room in 20 minutes or less (suck that dominos) simply by calling 893-1106. She's also running a special. 1 girl for $35, 2 for $80 and 3 for $99.

thats all I know.

if you're looking to gamble cheap, drink stiff drinks, and have a blast during the day, go to O'Sheas. it's essentially in the middle of the strip right next to the Flamingo.

i was there in November for the KU game and will be back in March for the NCAA tourney. despite the likelihood that you will lose some money, i've been there 4 times and always had a blast.

OK, now that my jealous outrage is over, how about some details. Who is going? How many? Where are you staying? What kind of budget? Are you into the club scene? Strip Clubs?

There is so much to do and see in Vegas, it's very hard to answer such a generic question as yours.

Mandalay Bay is nice. My wife won a trip there a couple of years ago.

There are tons of good clubs, but i'm not really into that scene so i couldn't tell you where the hot spots are. I do know that drinks can be very expensive, so keep that in mind if you are a cheapskate.

For inexpensive gambling (table limits will be high at Mandalay Bay and many other properties at that end of the strip), check out Imperial Palace, the afore mentioned O'Shea's, Sahara, Riviera, The Frontier.

MGM Grand has a decent buffet. If you go downtown to Fremont Street I highly recommend Binion's Coffee Shop. Great food at a reasonable price. Another place downtown is Main Street Station. Avoid the buffet but hit the microbrewery. They have great beer and cheap (but very good) steaks.

I doubt you will find any $5 blackjack tables at Mandalay Bay then, especially on the weekend.

You might at Excalibur, they have a free tram that runs between MB, Luxor and Excalibur.

Sahara usually has $3 BJ tables, but they are at the opposite end of the strip from where you will be (about 4-5 miles).

Vegas Virgin huh?

well well, where should I begin?

Strip clubs--Spearmint Rhino is popular, especially among locals. You can also check out Scores. But if you dont plan on spending cash, dont expect the VIP treatment at these places. Alot of tourist think that girls will be falling all over them just becasue they are there--not so. You have to flash some cash if you want the real deal at a tittie bar.

Dance Clubs--Pure is very popular--Tao at The Venetian is pretty hot as well. Again, don't expect VIP treatment without flashing the dough. Vegas is not the home of the $2.99 Buffet anymore. To get anywhere in this town you need to have $$$$. So, if you want the front of the line--$$$ to the doorman, a good seat--$$$ to the guy sitting you. And I'm not talking $1or 2--I'm talking at least $40 or so depending on what you are doing and how many people these guys will be accomadating.

Food-- Now this is a area where you probably dont have to flash alot of $$ to get in--however, if the place is packed and you want to get a seat--you might try slipping $20 the hostess. Sushi is lpentiful here and there are alot of killer places--Sushi roku at Caesars is my favorite spot on the strip. Pink Taco at The Hard Rock is great for rock n roll style mexican. The Peppermill is a great hang after partying--it's on the strip across not to far from the Rivera. Wynn has a great buffet and Fashion Show mall has some cool restaurants and good shopping.

Shows--I wouldn't waste too much of my time on this part--Mystere is awesome at Treasure Island. "The Price is Right" is fun and cheap. thats at Ballys. Second City Comedy is also cheap at the Flamingo. Dont waste your $$ on "O" at the Bellagio, total bore.

Also, dont let taxi drivers take you the strip route if You want to get from point a to point b. tell them to take you the back roads--act like you know. Harmon is a common back road to get from say, Mandalay Bay to Wynn. Don't let them rape you.

Hope all that helps and have fun.

I went to school at UNLV. When I first moved there they had a steak dinner for $1.99 after 11 p.m. I went there once and hit a $1,000 Royal Flush playing video poker while I was waiting for my table and I still went and ate the cheap meal afterwards! Those were the days!!

Here's another tip...

Sign up for a slot card at every casino you visit and use it if you gamble. Even if you give a casino very little or no play at all, you will most likely receive offers in the future for discounted or even free rooms.

I have never gambled at MGM, but right now I can get weeknight rooms there for $69 per night (regular rate is over $100).

yeah, nice deals at SW. paying $60 to fly out there in march but getting raped on the return flight $200. i've paid better and i've paid worse. i go every year in march for the ncaa tourney...nothing like it.

carlota gave nice advice about the cabbies. don't let them jerk you around when you get a cab at the airport either. they will take the long ass way if you let them (my first time). the last few times i've been out there, i've found it's often cheaper to take limos to and from the airport because they'll just charge you $40 for the group and you won't have to wait in line to get a cab.

when i go out there, our group is usually 8+ deep, so we end up taking limo busses everywhere we go because it ends up being cheaper or just as much as a couple of cabs.

also, DON'T go to Scores. definately the worst club i've been to out there. Spearmint Rhino, Cheetahs, Sapphire, Crazy Horse Too...had fun at all of those.

as for clubs out there, i don't really have an opinion. they all seem the same to me and you will pay around $10 for every drink, which seems like a big hit when you've been drinking for free while gambling.

That first weekend of the NCAA tourney is the best time to be there. I've done that twice. The Palms has a great sportsbook. Golf in the AM, lunch, maybe watch the early Thursday game. Or another round of golf, then settle in at the book for the late afternoon/night games.

It's the only place to be on the first weekend of March Madness.

First, don't use a site. Call the casino and ask for a host. You can then tell them you want a good rate or a comp. if you are willing to gamble so much for so long they will do that. Even if you don't want to risk any real money it is better to call the casino and get a room directly. If you want to stay in the lap of luxury Bellagio is just about the best place IMO. If you want to stay on a tight budget look at the old hotels on Fremont Street in old LV like the Nugget. A good middle of the road choice is the MGM or the Luxor. Avoid Bally's and NY NY. I think they suck.

Go to every Hotel/Casino web site and sign their guest book or sign up for a players card. They will start sending special prices to you via email. I know for certain that signing up for MGM Grand's Players Club will get you room offers for around $59 - $89 per night, with no play at all.
