Interesting bit of news......the head ref for the Pats/Colts game has only called PI 5 times all year.

Given that they mix up the officiating crews for the playoffs and that the Back Judge most often calls PI, this probably doesn't mean much.

I wanted Saints/Patriots, but I knew both road teams winning wasn't realistic... now that Chicago has won, Bears/Colts, D/Manning sounds better.

I still want the Patriots to win though.... the Colts D has been handed two games, and the Patriots won't try to run through a brick wall like the Chiefs and Ravens... and the Colts will need more than field goals to win, and Manning has sucked so far this postseason.

I'd hate to see Vinatieri win it.. if there's any karma in the world, he will miss the game winning FG, which will be his first ever miss in the RCA Dome.

You, amongst others, hate Brady and the Pats because they are successful.

I, amongst others, hate Manning because everyone slobbers all over him. For what? He's NEVER won a big game. And when he loses, he throws his teammates under the bus. I haven't liked PM since he was at Tennessee.

Brady was a 6th round pick who came out of nowhere. He's successful with .10 the talent that Manning has had throughout his career. He's a winner.

Both. He's a football genius surrounded by people who are pretty damned dumb by normal standards...

Unfortunately, the meatheaded-nature of the NFL requires that your coach be a little bit of a meathad, which will generally lop a decimal place off his IQ...but if you look at the NE coaches who've been somewhat successful elsewhere, (Weis, Mangini) most of them didn't play much college football (Weis didn't, Mangini played D-III)...however, they are actually intelligent human beings which increases the odds of them succeeding by a TON.

I hated the Dolphins, Raiders and Steelers dynasties in the '70s. Then it really seemed hopeless becuase the same players would be there year after year. You just had to wait for them to get old, and that could take more than 5 years. Now with the cap and free agency, its not the same group of players that keep making it happen. I really admire how Bellichick has kept finding ways to win with new players. It's a real accomplishment.
