Hey all:
I Need your help on this one, I have to take the Wonderlic test this afternoon for a promotion. The two tests are:
The CPP (Comprehensive Personality Profile)
And the WPT (Wonderlic Personnel Test, i.q. basically)

Have any of you taken these and if so, how about some pointers?

I'm on edge with this thing. I don't test well but if I score high, I will likely double my income in less than a year.

Thanks!!!

I'd just kill myself now if I was you.

More to the point, just freaking relax. Spazing out is only going to reduce your scores and there's no trick to pretending to be smarter.

You're doomed. Might as well start filling out applications for other jobs.

Calm down. Read instructions carefully. I've never taken it, so I don't know jack about the format.

Dude - you can't study for these things. Just relax and do your best. You'll either get it or you won't. If you don't then maybe you will the next time.

Maybe they're testing how well you respond to the pressure.

Here's a sample question to warm you up:

"If you have one 5 gallon bucket that is 5/7ths full, and one 3.5 gallon bucket that is 1/3rd full, how many buckets do you have?"

You're asking for help on a personality test?

Not really, more on the i.q. portion and seeing if anyone has taken this thing.

I thought the wonderlic test was some sort of code for Blowing your boss to get a promotion.

this is why I am NOT working, not really working, now. And, my wife only gives me the wonderlic, and I don't care if my mom blew redrum.

Sure, but I have 3 more buckets in my garage, so that makes a total of 5.

Yeah, same here. They only asked how many buckets you had, not how many gallons of they contained.

It's easy....we used to give that test to students at my work who were applying for admission, but graduated HS 30+ years ago and couldnt find their HS diploma...

If you cant pass the wonderlic...you shouldnt be allowed to drive, eat, drink, breathe oxygen....because you're a danger to yourself and others.

I took the Wonderlic twice. The first time I got a 26. I concentrated on getting a correct answer. I hear it takes off two points for every wrong one, but thats just a rumor. The second time I just whizzed through it not making sure the answers were correct and got a 35

I just took that sucker this morning at a job interview.
Not really that bad, the questions get harder as you go along, don't think about the answers to long you only get 12 min.

Yeah...That's what I heard. I get to take the test in the morning so I am trying to prepare bu answering some practice questions.

I heard that it's better to skip questions than to answer one's you don't know, apparently you are deducted less for no answer than a wrong one.

Yeah, I put 8.5 for the total gallon size of the buckets, but I also put a question mark behind it, to insenuate I was being a smart ass. guess some thought I was a real idiot, oh well. I was trying to mess with you.
