Diego Saraieva Vs. Dustin Hazelett http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Dustin_Hazlette2.JPG

My pick:Hazelett. Diego is coming in on short notice. Melvin Guillard had to pull out of this fight. I think Dustin is the better fighter here, Not to mention that he's ready for the fight Wo knows what kind of shape Diego is in.

Hazelette 2nd round submission.

My pick: Machida. Sam makes people look bad, But Machida is internationally tested agianst great fighters. He had some trouble with his last opponent Vernon White, But I think he should take this one in a close drawn out fight.

Machida unanimous decision.

Frankie Edgar http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Fighter_14204.jpg Vs. Tyson Griffin http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/griffen.jpg

My pick: Griffin. Tyson is the real deal @155. He is alot like Sherk. Very powerful, Very athletic, Fast, And has the endurance to go as many rounds as you want him to, At whatever pace is set. He will make a noice in the 155lbs division within the next few years.

Griffin by TKO from ground and pound punches in the 1st.

Terry Martin http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Terry_Martin2.JPG Vs. Jorge"El Conquistador"Rivera http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Jorge_Rivera_profile.jpg

My pick: Rivera. This will be Terry's first fight at 185lbs. I hav never really been impressed with him @205. Maybe dropping is the best thing for him. I will be intrested to see if he makes weight, And what it takes out of him.

Rivera KO 3rd.

Patrick"Predator" Cote http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Patrick_Cote2.JPG Vs. Scott Smith http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Scott_Smith2.JPG

My pick: This is tough. I'll pick Smith simply because Cote has never won a fight in the UFC.

Smith via Unanimous decision.

John Halverson[b] http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/John_Halverson2.JPG Vs. [b]Roger"El Matador"Huerta http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/roger_huerta.jpg

My pick: Huerta. Roger is a force @155lbs. HE should be fighting better guys than this. I'm pretty dissapointed with this match up. I would have rather seen him fight Tyson Griffin.

Huerta TKo 2nd.

Quinton"Rampage"Jackson http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/quintonjackson_profile.jpg Vs. Marvin"Beastman"Eastman[/] http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Marvin_Eastman_profile.jpg

[b]My pick: Rampage. He has shown me next to nothing in his previous couple fights. He has a new lease on MMA life with this UFC contract. He's getting paid more than he ever has before, Fighting a guy who has beaten him once. If Rampage can't get that spark back in him for this fight, I don't know what will do it for him.
They do alot of the same things well. They are both good wrestlers, Both VERY good strikers, But the advantages Rampage has are two of the most important in a fight like this. His raw strength, And his chin.

Rampage TKO 1st round.

Mirko"Cro Cop"Filipovic http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Filipovic2.JPG Vs. Eddie Sanchez http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Eddie_Sanchez2.JPG

My pick: Eahahah! CRO COP! Mirko is without a doubt one of the best fighters on the planet. He is without a doubt the most dangerous striker in MMA. He will make alot of noise this year.

Cro Cop Ko round 1.

Main Event for the UFC MiddleWeight Championship

Anderson"Spider"Silva http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/andersonsilva_profile.jpg Vs. Travis Lutter http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Lutter2.JPG

My pick: Anderson Silva. Travis posses a minor threat on the ground, and that's it. Anderson is possibly the most technical striker in MMA. HE doesn't throw an attack just to throw it. He throws t to hurt you, and to open you up for whatever he decides to throw behind it. HE has the accuracy, Range, and power to finish anyone. I don't think he will have the slightest problem finishing Lutter.

Silva via KO 1st round.

If he beats Sanchez it's not far off. Sylvia has to get by Randy Couture in his next fight. But he should be able to do that.

The nice thing is that a local bar always carries it so I might go check it out either way.

He has a steel head and great power. If you haven't seen him fight you should probably check him out.

Here is a compilation if you wanna watch. He is a pretty damn good fighter and he beat Chuck Liddell although that was over 3 years ago and Chuck has improved, we'll see if Rampage improved as much.

What ever happened to Vanderli Silva coming over to the UFC? Wasn't he going to fight Chuck?

And I wasn't planning on buying this UFC but the promo they aired Wednesday on SPIKE sold me once they featured Cro Cop. Anyone with a good place to check out some videos on this dude? He looks like a monster. And what's the deal with Couture coming back to fight in 68...as a heavyweight?

Edit: found some good highlights on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZhsm-IAeuo

LUTTER FAILS TO MAKE WEIGHT! What a ****ing douche.

Middleweight UFC challenger Travis Lutter failed to make weight in his final attempt Friday evening, managing to shed just one half pound in the two hours afforded to him by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

As a result Lutter, whose final weight was 186.5 pounds, is docked 10 percent of his purse, NSAC executive director Keith Kizer told Sherdog.com, and will face UFC champion Anderson Silva in a non-title affair Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay.

This is the second time a challenger for a UFC belt has failed to make weight. Joe Riggs was unable to make 170 pounds when he faced champion Matt Hughes in Nov. 2005, thus rendering that bout a three-round non-title contest.

Terry Martin, who also overshot the middleweight constraint, managed to drop the one pound necessary to make his fight versus Jorge Rivera official.

UFC newcomer Mirko Filipovic (223) showed little emotion as he stepped off the scales and looked into the eyes of his opponent, Eddie Sanchez.

Quinton Jackson looked a lean 205, two pounds heavier than Marvin Eastman, who handed the tough Memphis native his first professional loss back in June 2000.

Fight of the night. Early candidate for fight of the year. That is why I LOVE the lightweights. These guys bring it 100% for the duration. Transition from ground to standing, From standing to ground, and on the ground don't blink. The transition Tyson made for that knee bar was nasty! Sadly thought tonight showed Tyson needs to be @145.

This card was pretty good. Sanchez put up a bit more of a fight than I thought he would. Rampage finished strong like I expected. A. Silva and the undercard put on a good show.

Mirko looked great but, I think he will struggle vs. the HW elite in the UFC. Fedor layed out the blueprint on beating CroCop. Mark Hunt did the same thing to CC. they kept pressing forward and controlled the fight when they could. Fedor absolutely abused CC. Hunt wore CC down for a decision.

I think Mirko decided to take up the UFC because he realized the top 3 in Pride are enough to keep him from the belt. The UFC HWs are no joke though. Tim Sylvia will beat CC if his corner is worth a damn. Arlovski is very well rounded and can at least challenge CC in every aspect.

CC has below-average chin IMO. While he fought in K-1, he was KOd at least 3 times (I havent seen all his fights) with body shots. I'm not saying CC isnt tough but he has a breaking point that Sylvia and Arlovski can surpass.

I would like to see Sylvia fight CroCop. Neither will have to defend the take down and both can concentrate on what they both do best which is their stand up. I think it will be a nice matchup.

I'll tell ya who really impresses me sre the Emilienenko brothers from Pride, those guys are flat out Barneys.

The younger, smaller brother with all of the prison tats has the most natural punching style i have ever seen. He's fast as a whip & INCREDIBLY accurate with all of his throws.

I HATE to admit it, but i think he could knock Liddell out toe to toe rather easily.

Fedor looked beat up because he is susceptible to bruising. CC got some shots in but could not find the range for his high kick. Fedor delivered the harder punches while boxing and continued to pummel CC on the ground. CC was gassed after the first round and wound up on his back often. Even when standing he had to backpedal because Fedor kept coming at him. Just because the fight went to decision doesnt mean it was close hence, the unanimous decision for Fedor
