Someone said the thread about the insulting nature of the Jesus Avatars was his final straw. I know Gaz was sensitive about the level of civility on the BB so it would not suprise me. Also as morph mentioned the bored factor might have played into it.

I imagine it is some combination of the following:

* We don't talk much football here anymore (are there any SuperBowl threads at all?)
* Gaz was always big on civility, which obviously isn't a priority here
* Better things to do/ tired of "hanging out" on the internet

I find it sad that Mr. Gaz posts so infrequently. I noticed that he didnt even post anything before the playoff debachle. Perhaps Gaz has grown wiser and perfers to keep his thoughts in DooDah, instead of sharing with CP.

I sent him a PM asking him what was up. He replied that he still lurks and checks his PMs but is not into posting anymore. He is a very laid back guy and the Planet has become a little too rough and tumble for his taste. I hope it is just a break but fear it is not. It is too bad as he is one of my favorite posters and I will miss his insights and wit.
