Ha.

Cons: He is the definition of a project player, he is super raw and will have to learn his techniques from scratch.

I can tell you one thing.

DAMN HE'S BIG !!!!!!!!!!!

Bob Dole

He's no Rich Scanlon.

But since we've had such amazing success with "project" defensive draft picks.

I'd take him in the 5th. I mean, he's no Ryan Simms, but who is really?

That Mexican goes by the name of Pruneda and his nickname is "Pencil" but I've tagged him "Muchos Libros".

Based on the research I've done, I would say there are some positives and negatives to this guy.

On the plus side, he's simply huge, and he has amazing agility for a guy of his proportions. He's also strong and has good footwork. In that sense, I tend to think of him as a raw version of Gabe Watson.

However, on the negative side, he's definitely a project player. He's super raw and will have to learn his techniques from scratch. I think he could benefit from losing 20-30 lbs, and he definitely needs to improve his stamina and develop his body to its full potential.

That's just my opinion, though, based on the research I've done.

Looks like he's dumb as a stone if he's entering the draft after a couple of years at a JUCO. This guy is the perfect Carl "project player."

I did. Jenny and I went to a blues show on Friday night and I spent my birthday with the kids just hanging out. I even managed a nap. Thanks for asking.

Pick him up and draft a young pass rushing DT, maybe one that's about 19 and we'll be set at DT!

Different type of Dtackles.

From listening to Herm , I assume he wants the Chicago type quick penetrators who disrupt and NOT the Siavii (or this guy's) type.

He wants guys to fly to the ball even if they get some running yards. Kind of like old Dallas Cowboy Dtackles. Speed.

If we could get this guy in the late rounds i wouldnt mind having a look. Put a good 3 technique next to him & that could still qualify as a workable Tampa2 combo IMO.

Its gonna burn my azz if we get all light up front & have teams cram the ball down our gullets.

Sacks are great & absolutely vital, but they dont mean squat if the other team can just keep runnin' it & not have to pass.

depends on his work ethic

bad idea to select a project guy IF they have a lazy attitude.

might work as long as he's taken on day 2 and not in the 2nd round :banghead:

You can't hide a kid this size anywhere.

Chief Faithful

The guy weighs 370lbs and still ran a 5.2 40, which is impressive. The question I have is his quickness off the ball.

But can you imagine the number of people we could hide on the practice squad BEHIND him?

A guy with that size, as long as he's not a constant motivation issue, is definitely worth a Day2 flyer.

I completely agree.

I sure hope our scounting department has at least watched some tape on him and if they like what they see, go to talk to the kid to try to get a read on him.

Guys with that kind of run stopping frame are few & far between.
