I must have missed the birth of this word which plays such a big role in Planet lexicology. Who coined the phrase? WTF does it mean?

I'm sorry. It's all my fault. It was coined for Chiefs4Me.

As referenced by Phobes, C4Me used to post with tons of extra commas, ie;

What's upHello - commatard on the loose., How's everyone doingHello - commatard on the loose., Hello - commatard on the loose.Hello - commatard on the loose., just checking in Hello - commatard on the loose.Hello - commatard on the loose.Hello - commatard on the loose.Hello - commatard on the loose.Hello - commatard on the loose.,

EDIT, well I guess I can no longer accurately portray the C4Me experience.

Yup, she liked to put a lot of comma's in a row, hence the word commatard

How many commas must one place consecutively to be stricken with the "commatard" designation?

I guess I'll just test it

Wow, just two? So even someone as well-spoken as, say, FAX is one typo from being a commatard. Interesting.

Just don't mess with my ellipsis please... :D

chiefs4me doesn't know that to make an ellipsis, you use periods and not commas.

You only use commas if after the ellipsis, you are going to start talking about underwater hurricanes.

By the way... would it be possible to get rid of that feature? There are a lot of HTML links that use consecutive comma's and they always get screwed up with that feature.

By the way... would it be possible for you to simply use the URL BB code instead of posting the impossible-to-remember, nonsensical URI?

You can go get a new url made at tinyurl.com when that happens.

Well, I'm only 80-90 pages in, and its my first Larry McMurtry book, but I will surmise he is indeed a commatard.

IIRC, that doesn't help fix the problem. The TinyURL is the only way I've seen to get around that.

If I remember correctly, you came up with "TrINT" as well.
