The Tigers have a superb defense but a shaky offense.

K-State adds Auburn to 2007 schedule
By HOWARD RICHMAN
The Kansas City Star
Kansas State will play at Auburn to open the 2007 football season, the school announced this morning.

The game will be played Sept. 1 and televised by ESPN. Auburn will play the return game in 2014 at K-State.

Auburn finished 11-2 in 2006, beat Nebraska in the Cotton Bowl, and finished No. 9 in the Associated Press rankings.

The Wildcats also announced they will play the 2007 regular-season finale Nov. 24 at Fresno State. It also will be shown on ESPN.

K-State now will have an open date Sept. 22, the week before it starts Big 12 Conference play at Texas.

Also, it was announced K-State has scheduled home-and-home series with Oregon and Virginia Tech.

K-State will play at home against Oregon on Sept. 2, 2011 and play at Oregon Sept. 1, 2012.

The Wildcats will play at Virginia Tech on Sept. 6, 2014 and the Hokies will play Sept. 24, 2016 at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

It isn't unusual.

I'm surprised you guys got Miami to agree to a home/away series.

I may root for Kansas Sate when they play Miami.
I hate Miami with a passion.

As painful as it may be, you should be pulling for them in non-conference games. The Big XII north has a serious credibility problem right now.

Why?

They played at Temple in 05 and at Houston in 04.

Wow, good for them.

Who knows, in 2014, the Big 12 North could be the envy of college football and scheduling SEC teams could significantly hurt your SoS. Haha, just kidding.

The 12 game schedule is nice.

It happens.

Iowa signed a deal with Syracuse back in 02 I think it was. Thye Orange were a slightly-better-than-500 team at the time, so it looked like a good fit.

The first game came up this last year, after Syracuse failed to win a game in 2005.

I like it. Grants some uniformity.

That's what happens when your backup QB throws up all over himself and throws 4 picks... :D

They played at Temple in 05 and at Houston in 04.

So you're saying KState is about the same level as Temple or Houston?

BOLD & DARING.

Teams full of unspoiled kids --all of them fast-- from unspoiled places, I assume?

They have speed, discipline, and they consistently compete for championships.

Prince's ego > Snyder's ego

Fixed.

True, Prince's ego is about as large as Manginos 3rd chin, but he's backed it up on the field, IMO.

That can be debated, but for the most part, I agree.

I think he got the mindset he could put away the "bold and daring" after the Texas game and beat decent to good teams head to head. Granted it was just two games, but that obviously backfired.

Besides beating Texas and losing to Baylor and Kansas, I think things went about as they should have for him.
