This is the favorite, of my Chiefs stuff.
This was a gift from our owner 9 years ago. It just got cleaned today, so I can finally post a picture of it. :D

What is your favorite Chiefs posession?

That was one thing that had the police that reponded to Bob Dole's burglary call perplexed.

There are 10 signed balls, a number of jerseys and more signed cards than Bob Dole cares to count sitting around the house, and they were all untouched.

After careful consideration, Bob Dole will have to respectfully decline.

The ex-wife who took off with about 3/4 of Bob Dole's signed memorabilia would probably cut you a deal like that, though.

What did it set you back?

They probably didn't pay any attention because they were Cowboy fans.

(Though there's a Michael Irvin signed ball in plain view up on a shelf.)

How did you get that carpet?

We were building a new facility, she (owner) asked us all our carpet color, I told her bright red.
She questioned me on it, told me she did not want bright red in the building. I told her if she really wanted to do it right, have a Chiefs logo put in it.
She kept telling me I was getting maroon, then suprised me with it.
I have a good boss. :D

Thanks very much, it was done in February of '98. Business was very good at the time, but I have never asked her how much it cost. She had some local artistic guy do it by hand.

So they must not have been "crackhead" Cowboy fans.

They weren't the most observant. They left about $300 in change that was roughly 2 feet above the $30 in change they took.

Like Bob Dole said--Cowboy fans.

Simple, it's hard to sell collectibles like that. They're too easily traced to an original owner.

My wife surprised me at Christmas by "redoing" the downstairs bathroom....in a Chiefs theme. One wall has a painted Arrowhead; the other a painted helmet. Towels and color-scheme to match....including all the "extras" like soap dish, rug, toothbrush holder and a variety of Chiefs-based decorative touches.

I begin my mornings with Chiefs on the brain. :)

Nobody steps on the logo, or they are, well.

I used to have a sales guy that would walk in the mud outside, then heel it to my office. He would stand by my desk grinding the mud in while talking to me. He no longer works for us. :D He couldn't sell pussy to a troop train either.
