Why was Tomlinson's dad riding in 1969 Chevy Truck with bald tires?

I guess he forgot to inspect the tires. Believed to be a family relative that was driving as well.

Daddy shouldn't have borrowed the truck from Bill Belichick -- he doesn't have the class to put new tires on.

Man what an emotional roller coaster for LT. Having a great season, Losing in the playoffs, Having fun at the Pro Bowl and taking it easy for the off season, now his father dies.

Didn't something tragic like this happen to Michael Jordan's father?

Yes, after he won his 3rd title I believe.

Jordan's father was murdered.

It's been a rough off season for the Chargers.

His father was murdered though I believe when someone tried to hijack his car. But yes it was right after his 3rd title and which led to his first retirement IIRC.

I really admire Tomlinson.

I hate that we have to line up against him twice a year, but really respect his ability. I felt the same way about Marcus Allen before he came here.

Sad day for him and all the Chargers fans.

RIP. LT take care of your family.
Witnesses reported that a tire on the 1969 Chevrolet truck blew, causing the truck to swerve out of control and flip over near an intersection east of Waco near Asa. Both men were thrown from the truck, Morgan said.

Get them something decent to drive and wear a seat belt.

Get them something decent to drive and wear a seat belt.

He has offered them money and stuff but they just wanted to live their normal lives.
