I'm not talking about the elite 32. Or even the first day.

I'm talking 5th rounders, 7th rounders. Maybe the 3rd or 4th rounders.

Guys that intrigue you. Guys that have the right size or speed but come from small schools and/or are super raw.

Who's way down the list that interests you nonetheless?

I never saw Jared Gaither (http://www.nflfans.com/x/2007/showplayer.php?key=Jared%20Gaither*) play, but this guy is as big as OTs get. He's a projected 3rd rounder, and if size is your thing, it doesn't get any better than here.

Most of us are familiar with Kansas State's own Speedy Gonzales, Yamon Figurs (http://www.nflfans.com/x/2007/showplayer.php?key=Yamon%20Figurs). Fastest guy at the combine, and at this point projected to be a 6th. I know we already have a tiny receiver, but Dante doesn't have Yamon's speed. If we're going to have a tiny guy return kicks, why not grab this dude?

Most of us are probably familiar with Kasey Studdard (http://www.nflfans.com/x/2007/showplayer.php?key=Kasey%20Studdard), the stud OG out of Texas. This guy is very strong (how many reps did he do at the combine?), and he protected two talented QBs and paved the way for a few iffy RBs at Texas. Projected round 5.

How's aboot a big dude out of Compton? Howie Fuimaono (http://www.nflfans.com/x/2007/showplayer.php?key=Howie%20Fuimaono) is an iffy run-stuffer from UNLV, and is one of the biggest players on the market. A projected 6th rounder.

7th round projection for Arizona's Nick Folk (http://www.nflfans.com/x/2007/showplayer.php?key=Nick%20Folk), an intriguing hybrid kicker who not only consistently nails long FGs, but had a punting average of 44.7 as well on 22 punts, including 8 inside the 20 with only two touchbacks.

Being big doesn't matter.

Athleticism and feet.

We need a John Tait.

Not losing the actual John Tait when we have him would be a start to that.

Do you have any actual suggestions?

I really liked a lot of your suggestions.

IMO being big does matter for positions like DT. Take Terdell Sands for example. That guy had little to no athleticism when we saw DV try to play him at Tackle.

But the Raiders played him at DT where his job is to pretty much take up space and don't get pushed back. And he did that.

Anyways, what I like about your suggestions is that if you're drafting guys in the 5th round our lower, they're probably project players. So you might as well draft guys who have the body to be able to play that position like Jared Gaither who you suggested.

And Speed kills so I like Figurs. If nothing else he'd probably be a good gunner on SP.

I can't help but be intrigued by Walter Thomas (http://www.nflfans.com/x/2007/showplayer.php?key=Walter%20Thomas). The guy is 6'4 370. Now that would be a guy who would be hard to push back. Talk about a run stuffer.

Anybody else willing to back a horse from the netherworlds of the Draft?

Shouldnt the title of this be the low rounds of the draft?

I figured 6 and 7 were higher numbers than 1 and 2.

This might sound crazy but i wouldnt mind seeing us take a chance on a guy like jason snelling from UVA, we need a fullback bad an this guy has played FB an TB in his career there
