This guy would be awesome for KC. Great character and great upside. He's only 26 and Chargers GM is playing hard ball with a no nonsense kind of player like Dielman.

Check it out:

How much we pay'n Shields or Waters?

I would think if he is any good he would get Brian Waters kind of money. That would still be less than Shields possibly?

Word on Sportstalk radio in San Diego is that Seattle has a deal ready to offer Diehlman, which would include a 10 mil signing bonus.

Brian Waters negotiated his own deal. I'm pretty sure that Dielman's agent will do a whole lot better for him.

At least he saved 3% on agent commission...

This guy pounded us last year- I would love to see him come over to KC. If we do chase some FA's this would be a great start.

Let Roidburn go back to surfing full time. Let Shields retire. That should pretty much pay his salary.

Looks like the Seahawks are looking for a Hutch replacement..

Dielman, Kerney up first for Hawks

The free-agent signing period officially began at 9 p.m. Pacific time. Things are moving quickly. Chargers LG Kris Dielman is scheduled to visit the Seahawks starting tomorrow. Seattle's interest in Dielman comes as no surprise. We've talked about it here. You've read about it elsewhere. Falcons DE Patrick Kerney is expected to visit as early as Saturday. These are high-profile free agents. They probably wouldn't be coming to Seattle this quickly without having a good idea that the money could be right. Does that mean deals get done right away? Not necessarily, but Tim Ruskell did say the Hawks would be aggressive and strategic in targeting free agents. I haven't heard much about Patriots TE Daniel Graham and Seattle just yet. Denver is a team to keep in mind there. We'll keep you posted, as usual.

He's going to get a lot more than $10 million for a signing bonus.

Whether he is actually worth that much is another discussion...
