He is a major part of that revamped and good defense...

I wouldnt mind having him here. Isn't Benny his cousin or something like that or is that Bob Sapp from K1 fighting?

Or maybe I'm a moron and none of them are related.

1 ex Fader is enough for one off season.

I'd take him... He played on a good Tampa team and played hard... I believe that if he was on a team that at least gave a crap on defense, he would be that hard playing player again... He just flat out gave up on the Raiders, cause that defense sucked !!!!

Warren Sapp certainly didn't give up for the Raiders last season. 47 tackles and 10 sacks is pretty damn good for a DT.

I knew I should have rephrased that before I hit the send button... The Raiders defense was like the Chiefs of the 90's... They had a good defense, but no offensive support...

47 and 10 is pretty good... I'm too damn lazy to see what his stats were in Tampa on an average... I figured he was better there in Tampa with afew more better "supporting" cast members...

If we signed him, we could really address the WR position in the first round of draft and get a DB in the second round.

Actually, depending on the $ this isn't a stupid idea. No Reed or Edwards means that we need bodies, and unless Herm can spot some talent in the later rounds, the draft looks like a bunch of projects; this could be a situation where Herm's experience as a scout could really pay off.

In nine years in Tampa, Sapp average 8.5 sacks and 44 tackles a season. Last season was just a bit above his average in Tampa. Also, it is sorta interesting that Sapp's sack totals have doubled every season since he was signed by Oakland.

Um, doesn't he have like a huge cap hit. And isn't he old?

It is also interesting to note that Sapp is old as dirt and as fat as gochiefs.

As much as I hate to admit it, I wouldn't mind seeing his fat-ass running down QB's more than Sims' fat-ass still digesting his pre-game spread.

Alas, the money would probably be WAY too much.

My bad.... Aw heck --- I'd still offer him 2-3 years.... Or maybe just 1-2 years... Or; just 6 months... :)

I like that idea, maybe if the Raiders keep him they can loan him to us in January.

Hopefully we might have that chance to use him in January...

Like towards the middle or so of that month...

Is that when the Chiefs usually clear out the locker room fridge?

Yep... If Sapp is around, I'm sure he'll just toss it on his back on the way out of the lockeroom after the last game...

I would love to have Sapp on the team. His teammates love him. He's a leader. He's never been a cancer. He can produce and play at a high level. Yes, he is getting up their in age, but he still produces.

We all know that CP isn't going to rebuild, may as well use him as a plug as well.

I should point out that Sapp is very much under contract in Oakland and after the stellar year he put up that's not going to change this year, we better prepare to block him...
