Starting off with Oklahoma and Iowa State in a couple hours.

I think its going to be Kansas vs. Texas or Texas A&M in the championship, either of which should be a great matchup. I also think that Kansas will lose to either Texas or A&M.

Yeah, I can't imagine Kansas losing before the championship, and I can't possibly predict the winner of Texas vs. Texas Tech in the semifinals because their last game was so close. Its a boring prediction...

I am not sure whether I would like to see KU win the Big 12 Tourney or not.

On one hand, I'm think that the Jayhawks don't necessarily have a #1 NCAA tourney seed locked up. Frankly, I think a 1 or 2 seed would be okay. But I think they must win at least a game or two the the Big 12 tourney.

On the other hand, I'm thinking a loss and early exit will help the Jayhawks re-focus for an NCAA tourney run. The dangerous part here is that an early exit from the conference tourney could drop KU in the NCAA seedings.

Yeah it is a double edge sword that KU has to deal with. Their weak RPI isnt helping much.

With many of the current 2 seeds taking a loss recently I would say they would swap postions worst case scenerio.

I'm in OKC and have been since Tuesday.

It's a pretty cool set up. Our hotel is right across the street from both arenas (Ford Center to the West, Cox Convention Center [where the women play] to the North. The town is embracing it big time, obviously the biggest sporting even its ever hosted.

Not surprisingly, it's a different energy today than there's been for the womens' games the last two days. Fans are all over.

I watched K-State and Texas' shootaround this morning at 7:30 and 8:20, went back to bed, and now I'm about ready to head over to the Ford Center to take in the day's worth of basketball.

I'll be around the rest of the week and taking in every game. I'll have my computer with me at the game, too, so let me know if you got any questions about what's going on.

KU will definitely have more fans down there tomorrow. ISU fans had us 3 to 1 today.

KU owns OU overall like 120 to 60 or something...but since 2000 I think you'll find that its pretty close. Dont forget we made the same Final 4 as you in 2002 and we lost in Elite 8 to the same team that beat you in 03: Syracuse.

We've already got one McDonalds kid coming in next year in Blake Griffin...and were closing in on another one playing in McD's this year: Jai Lucas.

Self can't win the big one...at least Roy didnt get knocked out in the first round. Brandon Rush is a pussy.

Talks about how it is going to take some time for Mizzou. Says they have not hit rock bottom yet.

But the more interesting part of the article was the jab he took at KSU in the middle.

"Huggins was supposed to win 20 games and finish fourth in the conference with the talent K-State returned. Huggins simply did what Jim Wooldridge should’ve done a year ago.

As for the prized recruits Huggins brought to Kansas State, we will see how long that will last now that he’ll be recruiting under NCAA guidelines. I’m not dissing Huggins. He was a great hire for K-State, and he’s a terrific coach.

But the reality is he began recruiting Walker when he was a ninth-grader, and Huggins had to hire an assistant coach to land Beasley.

We’ll soon see if Huggins is able to attract any more four- or five-star recruits to Manhattan. After Beasley and Walker head to the pros, K-State might go back to chasing Big 12 titles with two- and three-star recruits.

Two years from now, if Huggins is still at K-State, he might be in the same boat as Anderson."

Colorado actually played pretty well. If they hadn't turned it over so often, who knows what would've happened. That dude with 2 last names can't handle the ball. Overall, I was impressed with their effort. Nobody expected them to have a chance.

Yeah, I should have included CU. They had every reason to roll over, and they had a very good shot up until the last 2:30 minutes. Kudos to their players and to Patton for putting up a fight. They actually may have won, if Silas would have been available. That kid is a player.

I remember the Washburn game.

Dave led us with close to 30 points (?) and was basically our entire offense throughout the 3OT's.

He couldn't walk off the court after the game, Scott Greenawalt (S&C coach) had to carry Hoskins on his shoulder off the court.

I remember the Washburn game.

Dave led us with close to 30 points (?) and was basically our entire offense throughout the 3OT's.

He couldn't walk off the court after the game, Scott Greenawalt (S&C coach) had to carry Hoskins on his shoulder off the court.

I love watching Dave - he is a competitor.

Yeah, he had terrible leg cramps that game.

Hoskins can hardly walk from the bench to the huddle, but he's still making drives and cuts and jumping on the court. Odd.

Guts man, Guts.

What do you think of the game so far? How many Cat fans? Tech fans? Fans overall?

Whats up with Cartier?

I'm not sure about Cartier. I don't know why Huggs started him. Messes up his rythem that's he's established this season coming off the bench.

Cats look good. Impressive that Cartier and Dave have, what, 11 combined points and they're winning.

Tech is playing better than yesterday, but still not well, though Jackson is tremendous.

KSU has more fans, by far. Still a nice hangover of KU/OU fans.

He needs to be. Not just living by the three either. Making good decisions and taking it to the hole. Almost stepping up like a senior leader....shhh.

KSU will lose. Probably by double digits. Doesn't matter though - we should be in the NCAA tournament now.

I think reerun is mistaking Martin Zeno (16+ppg, 5 rpg) with Darryl Dora. Dora is the guy who has had two very good games vs KU.

High Bball IQ.
