Carrie pulled thru very well, better than the doc's expected. She is already home and on the road to recovery. Barring any last minute unforseen problems, she should recover well.

The concern for lack of oxygen never became an issue, Good thing, heh.

If she continues to get enough air to the blood, it should heal just fine, a little slower than most people, but should heal.

That's true, she is very sore and tender today . She feels like she has been used as a sparing partner in a title bout. It's going to take a few days ( probally a week ) to get to feeling normal again.
