As a Bears fan, GoChiefs wanted me to give my input on Boone since you guys recently signed him. 4 years 8 Million? Way more then he is worth. He is a pretty good player if given the oppurtunity, special teams player, he is around 4 million dollars maybe. He blocked 2 extra points in his tenure with the Bears so he is a good ST player. Gets good penetration at DT, he never really got a chance to play all that much since Bears have always had good DT's ahead of him (Washington, Traylor, Harris, Scott, Tank Johnston)

Solid sign. He has potential.

well, for some reason BFF's tend to have a longer career then the rest. Odd huh? anyways. Hopefully, he can perform at a starter level.

We also needed a DT in the WORST damn way.

He's solid on STs, he gets a lot of penetration, and didn't get a lot of time to prove himself in Chicago so he's got potential.

Yeah sounds like 2 mil a year is waaaaaaaaaay toooooo muuuuuuch.

Well, that's a max of 2 mil a year. It's a minimum of 1.5 mil over the whole 4 years. If he plays like he's worth 2 mil a year, he might make it. I wouldn't say we overpaid.

When a dude -- ANY dude -- gets around $1.5 million of guaranteed money on a FOUR-year contract in this day and age of free agency, he's probably not overpaid. Punter's are going to start seeing that and a whole lot more.

This contract was a steal.

There is no Ryan Simms playing for the Chiefs.

Just like there is no Tank Johnston playing for the Bears.
