The new Ed McCaffrey.
except for Stokley is half the size and twice as fast

Can he play Dline, lol. Nice pickup for WR though. How bad was he injured?

He has to prove he can come back from a major injury first.

He'll definitely be an improvement. Its an unfortunately nice signing, and at 1 year, its of very little risk if he's not the same after the injury.

Injury prone and we'll see how good he is without Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne and Peyton Manning.

That was pretty much the joke. I know they aren't at all the same player. McCaffrey was 6'5" and was great at going across the middle, while Stokley is a 5'11" deep threat.

My sentiments exactly

It's worth the risk IMO, if he comes back from the injury that little fugger can be sneaky when opposing Ds are keying on the TEs.

With Walker on the other side, and 2 solid tight ends. I am sure He will do just fine.

For just a one year deal that's a pretty good signing. Bad for us though.

I would have preferred to see Chiefs | Stokley signed as the topic title.

He was less then impressive last year, but a one year deal isn't going to hurt them if they have to cut him.

Nice for depth if he can recover from the injury, I suppose...

Who's afraid of the big bad wolf?
Stokley's talented, but he's not exactly Steve Largent. We face better receivers regularly.

Not a bad signing. I think his teammates inflated his perceived abilities, but he won't hurt them, to be sure.
Only a 1 year deal, due to hte injury I guess.
On paper, the Broncos have made some decent moves. We'll have to wait and see if it plays out on the field.

Enh, this is a roster fodder signing... the guy is entering his 9th season and through 8 years, he has played more than 9 games three times. Stokely has skill and for the price... it's a good deal if he returns from the '06 injury.
Again - it's a depth move, should Rod Smith recover well from hip surgery, the depth chart will be Walker / Marshall / Smith / Stokley.
Add in Henry, Graham and Scheffler and our young QB has a nice array of weapons to work with in 2007.

System receiver if ever there was one. Doubt he'll make the roster.

It's a 1 year deal and aside from 2004 when Peyton went wild ... the guy has been average. Again, low risk deal here.
