This is kind of a spin off from another thread. If you could start a team with either player who do you take? Just curious what everyone thinks and if you think Kobe are you over the age of 21?

This is focking ghey. Like three spinoffs from threads. can't we get it right?
No wonder the Chiefs can't win a SuperBowl.

I am just as lame for being the first voter on this poll.

Such a stupid question/poll. You must be ignorant for even wanting to know the answer.

Kobe isn't fit to tie Jordan's shoes.

To early to even do this. When Kobe's done playing then this will be Valid. If you compared Kobe at 28 and Jordan at 28 this comparison would be Kobe>Jordan. Right now its Jordan Owning Kobe.

I disagree.

Moss is a lazy, worthless POS with talent.

Kobe is a hard worker, and he plays hard every game.

MJ, I think, was just smarter.

Kobe tries to force things that aren't there on a fairly regular basis.

MJ usually played within himself, and made defenders pay for however they defended him.

Most the people who are voting don't even watch the NBA.

jordan made the guys around him better

Bryant/Moss are supremely talented guys who you can't build a team around because they lack the mental part it takes to be a leader.

Michael Jordan was percieved exactly the same way Bryant is now for a major portion of his early career, just no one remembers it now.

In one of Phil Jacksons books he talked about how Jordan bitched they had no players then refused to give anyone else the ball.

jordan made the guys around him better.

I don't agree.

Jordan had to be accounted for, so guys got open looks.

But they wern't better players because of him.

James Worthy is in the HOF, and Byron Scott was an All Star because of Magic.

Kareem's career was extended as well.

Parish, McHale, Ainge, Denis Scott all benefitted because of Bird.

None of MJ's teammates were better because of him.

Define better. They didn't have to be "better". If you mean by scoring more, well then no. Everyone on those Bulls teams played their role to a perfect T. Look at Steve Kerr, when he went to the Bulls his scoring actually went up because he could get more open looks from 3. There was your 3 point shooting ace. There was Dennis Rodman, the best rebounder and one of the best defensive players of all time. There was Scottie Pippen, the best sidekick of all time. There was Luc Longly, a formidable role player that scored 13-15 a game while providing a big body in the post. There was Ron Harper, who scored 20 Points a game on average before coming to the Bulls. He set his personal issues aside and played a perfect team game. I mean this is a guy that went from 20.1 PPG to 6.9 PPG a game. And he handled it with class.

And then there was Jordan, the best player of all time. Knowing roles was what made the Bulls so good. They didn't go 72 and freaking 10 for nothing and Jordan was the glue that kept them together. Have to credit Phil Jackson alot as well for handling it. Phil is the best at handling alot of egos ain the pro game.

You said it youself.

Jordan didn't raise the level of play of those around him.
They were role players that, in some cases, got open shots because the defense collapsed on Jordan.

Magic created opportunities for his teammates.
A guy like James Worthy was actually very limited with the ball.
He wasn't a good ball handler, and couldn't move to his left with a dribble.
Magic riased Worthy from an average player to a HoFer.

Jordan was the single greatest player.

Magic was the greatest team player.
