and today is his going away party. It starts at 2 or 3 pm and is going all day. Ive been friends with him for about 17 years and Im only 21, so this is all sorta shitty.

My question to you is what kinda alcohol should I bring to the party? I mean this is a very special occasion and I would like to make it memorable.

What kinda liquor does he like?
Favorite bottle that WON'T be opened today but leaves for Michigan. Scotch,Bourbon, Tequila, etc

If it's present to remember. When ever he has one....

Are you mixing drinks for chicks or are you looking for something the men are drinking?

You're in socal, right?

You should be able to get a twelver of Bohemia or Negra Modelo for $10. Do NOT put a lime in your beer.

Well I dont know if there are going to be any chicks there. Even if there are this is only going to be a party for a tight-knit group of friends, probably about 30 of us or so.

I guess I could go with something simple like Grey Goose or Crown Royal that people can drink straight or mix.

Don't worry....In another 4-5 years, you'll probably think he's an ignorant bastard and won't talk to him for a decade.

A group of 30 is "tight-knit"? Are you in one of those Pakistani border tribes or something?

And if there's 30 people at the party and they're all men, you'd better hire a couple of strippers or people are going to talk.

Well the plan for now is for him to move back in a year or so when he has enough money to rent an apartment with myself and some others.

X Rated Vodka and either Red Bull or Sprite. The vodka is grapefruit flavored. It is a great drink that will not only taste good but also give you some Vitamin C.

2 Questions:

1. Where in Michigan is he moving?
2. Why does he want to move to Michigan?

If it's anywhere in the detroit-metro area, he'd better develop a taste for hockey or it's going to be a long lonely ride, heh.

Good God, i lived there for 8 years, partially in the UP but most of it in Ann Arbor, I worked in Farmington Hills. It ain't easy being an "outsider" there, let's hope he's going to the West Side of the state, where people are actually cool.

Nah - I only travel for jobs that are special and will really put an exclamation point on my portfolio. That means that you would be willing to put a significant financial investment into your project and also give me creative license. In Brian's case, he had several very expensive bids and I told him I could do much more with the money than he was being offered. It was a mutually beneficial thing at the time. I really don't enjoy leaving my family for that length of time. I would probably only travel for a job near my teenagers in Virginia this summer.
