I am almost afraid to ask here because of the sarcasm that is imminent...but I want some peoples honest thoughts. :hmmm:

I have been offered a chance to sell pre-paid online computer support. I would buy 10 - 30 minute cards for $120 and the retail price is $25 per card...so I would profit $130 when I sell all 10. The online support company is legit and well respected.

I think $25 for 30 minutes is a great price compared to Geek Squad at Best Buy or the local got let go and started a computer support company guy who charges $100 an hour. I can buy as many 10 Packs of cards as I want, so I think this would be a good way to make a little side cash.

What do you think??

If this "reputable Company" had a good product they would not rely on these types of sales techniques.

No most firms that are small without any or part time guy have another IT company on retainer. or have a good business relationship. or get freelancers.

How much time at a minimum wage job does that equate to? I can't imagine it being easy to sell the 10 cards... more time that it is worth.

How often do people really need live support? I bought my first computer four years ago, I have very little background with them, and I've never had to pay anyone to help me with it.

Like every other gimmick that comes along...someone in my family is probably going to call soon offering me this great bargain.

The charity tax(girlscout cookies et al) is enough....I don't need you to help me out by getting me retired early on Amway, Excel phones, selling mutual funds, or the latest "Its not amway" thing.

Who needs that product unless they've got an existing problem.

I think there are better ways to make more money for the time you put into it.
