Well, I finally did it...

I know its a terrible financial risk to take with any Royal not named White or Brett, but I bought an authentic jersey. (Mark Teahen, Home alt. blue) Ever since I stopped by an Omaha game on the way to see the zoo with family, a game where Teahen just went freakin nuts, I started to follow him, then the next week when I visited the K was the same week he was called back up to the team to work some more magic.

Anyway, so how many years can I figure to get some use out of this thing before he gets traded or leaves? I guess there's always the chance he'll seriously regress, showing the last year to be a fluke and get demoted, but I doubt it. Even if he takes a few steps back, he'd still be near league-average and useful.

I almost pulled the trigger near the end of last year but just couldnt do it. What finally pushed me over the edge was the fact that he's so young and did so well last year, that he stands a good chance to be a Royal for a while (he wont be FA-eligible for like 5 more years, right?)

i dont know if you've noticed, but generally when the royals have a player who is young and good, they get rid of him.
