I'm over at dad's today (helped him hang a gate) and watching the start of the KU/UCLA game when I glance out the window. I asked dad if he thought it looked smoky outside. He went out to feed the dogs, and he said he thought someone must be burning something outside (which is illegal inside city limits). We turn it on another local station to watch the news to learn that they were doing a huge controlled burn in Northern Arkansas, and the wind out of the south was carrying the smoke up our way. It just seemed really weird that the smoke would carry that far. They're saying that we shouldn't go outside for any prolonged period of time, and that we should have our windows closed for the night.

I saw a thread earlier asking if anyone was getting smoke or fog. Must have been the same reason.
