I just watched them recieve their WS rings before their game vs. the Mets tonight. It was really cool. I can only imagine how neat that is for Cards fans. If I ever get to witness the players on my Royals do that I'll probably start balling.

Extremely nice moment when Scott Spezio's dad was first introduced (he used to play ball) and then presented Scott with his ring. Good man hug and a nice ovation from the crowd.

I'm just glad it wasn't the Yankees.

No.

They even gave out souvenier rings to the fans. That's a kick ass promotion.

Gawd I hate the Cardinals.

Start balling? You mean, if you see the Royals receive World Series rings you'll start playing street basketball?

I respect their team and organization but I hate the majority of their fan base.

Ill never forget 1985, i cant believe its been 22 years since the Royals did anything of note.

I feel kind of sad for the youngins in KC who have known nothing but Royals suckatude for years now. It was great growin up in KC watching those great Royals teams from 76-85.....something ill never forget..

Yeah I remember everyone at grade school and La Petite(daycare), when I was little always wearing they sky blue royals shirts and trading royals baseball cards, hell my mom would take me out of school to go see a few games... Its sad that a majority of people never got to experience that...

I went to opening day in 86 and saw the Royals get their rings and raise the banner. They lost that game to Toronto and haven't raised another flag since.

Wrong. They've raised a white flag several times.

It was great until Brett retired... so 1975-1993.

I think if Bo Jackson hadnt hurt himself and if John Schuerholz had stayed in KC... we'd of been a lot better off, and not such a joke now.

Start of my childhood. Royals were rocking and roll that summer, then the bastards had to strike. Ruining baseball in KC.

Bunch of friggin haters. Get over it. The Cardinals and Royals haven't played a meaniful game in 22 years and we won't be anytime soon.

Ari,

If you ever want to see a World Championship won live with your son like I did last year you are going to have to let the son switch teams.

I was in Indianapolis about a week ago on meetings.
I was someplace and I saw a Royals T-Shirt. I was shocked. I don't normally see many of them. Then just two days ago I saw another Royals T-Shirt
and I about fainted. I asked the lady across the counter about her T-Shirt she was wearing. She said she used to live in KC and loved baseball and going to the games. She said she was a Cardinal fan but could only see them when they played in KC. She said the shirt was free and didn't remember how she got the Royals shirt...go figure.

I went to the Cards game last night, but didn't get there in time to see the ring ceremony. The replica ring is pretty cool, but I pried it off the base that it was glued to, and found that it's made of relatively cheap plastic. The thickness of the base made it seem like it was more solid than that. Some of the paint was scratched off the bottom from where it was glued to the base, so I'm just going to let my 1st grader wear it to school tomorrow. He thinks it's pretty cool.

The city? And some fans? Not so much.

I've never understood how or why anyone can be a fan of one of the KC teams and one of the StL teams. Just care if the team wins or not I'm guessing... rather than being true to one town or the other regardless.

I have much admiration for the Cardinals franchise. They are ran by people that wanna compete in this league.

Their fans are ****in retards though. Don't get me started on Rams fans.

As of right now John Maine is one hitting the Cardinals so far tonight. They're staring down an 0-3 start, with Chris Carpenter hurting.

I'm watching it and enjoying it very, very much. Back to back two rbi doubles now for the Mets who are up 9-0. Met pitching has made Cardinals hitters look like little girls this whole series. No offense to little girls.

Beltran has homered twice tonight for the Mets.
