Check out the asking price, per rotoworld:

The Broncos are expected to pursue DT Kris Jenkins.
The 27-year-old Jenkins would fit new coordinator Jim Bates' defensive scheme, which values a large run stuffer on the interior line. The Denver Post speculates Jenkins might only cost a middle-round draft pick.

Wish we could get that 4th back for Bennett!

The Broncos would be very smart to chase Jenkins down.

Of course................

...SO WOULD THE ****ING CHIEFS.

GOD DAMN IT CARL.

He's broken.

No thanks. Too much injury lately. Maybe worth a gamble as a middle-round pick, but I think it's safe to at least say he's on the decline.

Dan Williams the second

A 3rd round pick?
Done and done.

He was a Pro Bowl player not too long ago?

I'd rather have the pick.

According to the Denver Post, the Broncos are expected to pursue every FA and trading-block player in existence. There's no story in that article, it says the Broncos are "likely to consider" it.

Really, though, it's not so much the paper's fault as it is places like Rotoworld for leaching onto such things and trying to pass it off as news.

Jenkins ballooned up to 400 LBs a year or 2 ago while he was injured... again.

And, may I submit: let's keep our picks and get younger, not older. Let's bring in young guys with fresh bodies, not trade picks for old guys who are broken down, and may give you a productive year or two on the high side.

He is 27 years old, and he went to the Pro Bowl last season. Sounds pretty good to me.

That is great. What weight did he play at last season?

His stats show that he picked up exactly where he left off, after injuries. I don't see the problem. I am sure that the Donks would find a way to get him there without giving away the farm, I don't see why we can't give him a 1 year deal so he can prove himself and then go break the bank somewhere; this doesn't have to be a long term deal.

I think way too many are making a big deal out of his weight. Jenkins is one of the better DTs in the game today and that's what should be considered.

Didnt we learn anything from the Kendrell Bell experiment?

If you dont learn from history....history is doomed to repeat itself.

A note about the Broncos.....The Donks' front office must have compromising photos of the commish...that's the only way I can explain their blatant disregard for the salary cap. :)

Even if he is a fat ass closing in on 400lbs, he still played at Pro-Bowl status last season. Which free agent or current Chief DT can say they played anywhere near Pro-Bowl status?

Difference is that Kendrell didn't perform at a Pro Bowl level after Injury.

First you guys tout Dan Wilkenson (wilkerson, whatever) but Kris Jenkins isn't even worth a year? Puhhleease

Folks post love letters about sorry ass joey harrington, but hate this guy right?

A healthy Kris Jenkins puts this defense in the top ten. If we can get him for our third then it would be crazy not to.

Dude, where did I say anything negative towards Jenkins? I may have called him a fat ass closing in on 400lbs, but I never said I wouldn't want him playing next to what ever DT collection Herm puts together this offseason.

Congratulations, you're now qualified to be a Broncos beat writer at the Denver Post.
