12-4! (I am an optimist, never denied it)

I might look into going to the Chicago game, anyone else that might be making that pilgrimage from St. Louis (or anywhere else, for that matter)?

I know, kind of early to ask

2 road games to start and end? That's murder. Both SB teams again? That's murder.

This schedule broke about as good as it could. Indy and Chicago are likely losses wherever the game is played. Better burn a road game on those so we can catch Jax and Cinn at home, where we might have a chance.

The two road games to stsart the season don't bother me. The first is winnable. We could easily start the season 1-1 after two road games.

Finishing two on the road is not so bad either, because the first one is Detroit. We even have a chance against the Jets on the road.

We have good chances to go 3-1 against the NFC North and 3-1 against the AFC South. We get the easier of the two 2nd place teams (Jets) on the road and the harder one at home (Cinn). Can't ask for much more than that.

I'm honestly wondering if there is another team in the league that has 6 of 8 games at home during the middle of the season. I think the league gifted us our best schedule in years.

They've caught on... we're not that good... and we're not in a big market so we don't really matter.

Starting AND ending the season with back to back road games is kinda weird.

On the surface it looks like we have a few easy teams to beat. Houston and Detroit for example. But if you haven't noticed over the last few years, the team tends to play down to the competition. Games that we the Chiefs should have won, they lose to pathetically.

Unfortuneately until I see some fixes be done to the O-line, and the QB situation, I just can't see the team doing more than .500 next year. If the Chiefs don't get a QB and a WR to stretch, everyone is going to pounce LJ again, and our star RB is going to be worthless by midseason. If the O-line isn't fixed, then things are only gonna get worse for whoever the QB is and LJ. Now granted, addition by subtraction with I-85 gone, but the Chiefs are going to have to do well in the draft to make up for some serious lack of talent and age up front.

If KC and SD play well, I see the 12-2 game being flexed. LJ vs. LT

I thought all playoff teams got a Monday night game the following season?

I haven't checked the schedule, but I would bet KC is the only playoff team that didn't get a Monday night game. So, here's a big **** YOU! to the NFL.

It's possible there's not, as KC is the only team in the league that begins with 2 road games and ends with 2 road games.

We crave respect and PT games equal that... I guess.

I sometimes just see PT games as nervous opportunities to embarrass ourselves in front of national tv audience.

I've had it while living in Texas, but now that we moved and I'm not making what I was before the move we didn't have it last year, and probably wont get it next year, unless I get the call up to the majors and soon......

Hey Dumbsh*t, the Chiefs made it to the playoffs last season- that is EARNED. Very few teams make it to the playoffs, yet KC was one of them. It doesn't matter whether or not you don't think they deserved to be there or not- they EARNED that spot in the playoffs as HERM himself liked to say.

Several years ago, the NFL made it a point to include all the playoff teams in the following seasons prime time games. This hopefully "guarantees" a competitive match-up and a larger viewing audience.

The fact the NFL didn't include KC in this season's prime time games, yet includes 2 Donkey games goes to show what the NFL thinks of KC's chances this year. It's a big slap in the face to the players who EARNED a playoff spot last year.

So what. Chiefs are undershot every year. Peter King thought we'd go 6-10 last year.

Chiefs usually outdo season predictions on them.

These are my guesses and yes I know there is still June cut downs and the draft. But assuming all teams gain somewhat...

9-9 at Houston (W)
9-16 at Chicago (L)
9-23 MINNESOTA (W)
9-30 at San Diego (L)
10-7 JACKSONVILLE (L)
10-14 CINCINNATI (W)
10-21 at Oakland (W)
10-28 Bye
11-4 GREEN BAY (W)
11-11 DENVER (W)
11-18 at Indianapolis (L)
11-25 OAKLAND (W)
12-2 SAN DIEGO (L)
12-9 at Denver (L)
12-16 TENNESSEE (L)
12-23 at Detroit (W)
12-30 at New York Jets (L)

Looks like 8-8 9-7 with some luck or 7-9 without any...

They better clean up in that Oct. 7-Nov. 11 stretch: Four home games, @ crappy Oakland and a bye week. They better go 5-0 in that stretch to make up for the rest.

I see them going 3-5 on the road.
