So my fiance got a free roundtrip ticket from her step dad through southwest. She wants us to get a ticket for me to go with her to meet her mom in CA. It seems the cheapest round trip is 240 through Southwest. Anybody know of any special offers? I looked on their website and didn't find any. Are there better airlines then Southwest, that could be cheaper?

I usually go to one of the travel sites like expedia.com, orbitz.com, travelocity.com, etc.

What luv said. Compare around. In the past I've found the cheapest flight through one of the travel sites, got the flight number and then entered it into the airlines website. Sometimes the airlines are a bit cheaper that the travel sites, just use them to figure out the best flight.

Trust me, you don't want to fly on a cheaper airline than Southwest.

Southwest is the cheapest, but it sucks. They herd you in the plane like cattle and you have to put up with retards who are there because "it's the cheapest." I'd pay the extra $$$ and fly Midwest Express. It's not terribly more expensive than Southwest and you'll enjoy the flight much more.

I'm in school and broke. I'd fly with the luggage if they'd let me.
