This question was inspired by Madden 07 as it occured in-game and have no idea whether it was a glitch or if it is for real.
A QB throws a ball into the endzone and the ball dings off the bottom crossbar and the ball is caught on the re-bound in bounds.
Is that a complete pass or would it be out of bounds?

My guess is "incomplete". I base that on the fact that kicks coming off crossbars in the NFL are NOT live.

The goalposts and crossbar are not out of bounds but do cause a pass to be incomplete if it hits them.

From the NFL Rule Book:
7. Any forward pass becomes incomplete and ball is dead if:
(a) Pass hits the ground or goes out of bounds.
(b) Pass hits the goal post or the crossbar of either team.
Great question, Mr. pr_capone. I would refer to Rule 7b.

I thought so as well but seeing that in Madden made me think twice. I'm sure you could understand that though as Madden is the end-all and be-all of football so I thought that it couldn't possible be wrong!
In the game I got a pick off a pass that bounced off the goalpost so either way.... I got the better end of that deal.

Madden is pretty gay sometimes. You can run out of bounds and come back in and catch a pass.

You can return it after is bounces off the nets.
