All the old articles say "undisclosed" draft pick...did we give a 4th for a back-up RB?

Whatever it was, why would we give a team the STARTING QB they need for less than the price of a back-up RB? (besides the obvious answer "because we're really stupid")

Because Mecca says so!

Because they traded right before camp and had another team bidding with them in the Rams so the Saints got solid value.

That's a tough game to play, Miami could say that Steve McNair was traded for a 4th round pick, and use that as their benchmark.

well, I'd take a 4th....no problem there

pick 108 is the 9th pick in teh 4th round....as a Miami noted, teams have time to evalute after the first round, there could some good players who dropped that we get a shot at

i'd be happy as hell with that pick

I agree, that's about what I'm expecting... it seems fair. We seem to be asking for a 2nd, Miami wants to give up a 6th... hopefully they can meet in the middle before the draft and get this over with.

NO has our 4th, #123

getting that back and jumping 14 spots would rock, tell Miami to call me we'll get this done

I think Miami believes Trent will be released anyway due to his salary. He does want to go to Miami. That is why his value is down...

Do they want him in April or do they want him in September?

That is the question...that is the value they see in him. They want him in the playbook sooner than later.

Bennett was a great acquisition. He is well worth the 4th we gave up. For a 37-year-old gutter salesman, I would pass on $7 Million, and take the fifth.

Of course, Jared Allen would take a 5th, too.
