Perez cruises through the first.

If we ever want to get any wins, our starters are going to nearly have to go 8 innings or so every single game...

Does anybody know if Dayton Moore has anything in the works in bringing in some actual bullpen help? It would suck if he just sat on his hands hoping things will just cure itself. I have a feeling that if the bullpen continues to struggle mightily that we're going to see something big happen. I know thats kind of a duh type statement, but yah, i think something is going to happen soon.

LaRue and Brown playing tonight is the reason why I hate Bell as a manager.

Of course, it's early, but 20 games in DeJesus is on a pace to hit 30 HR this year.

He should start with a manager.

Agreed. You got somebody like leeland in Detroit that came in fiery right off the bat, and see where it got them? The ****in world series!! We got a docile son of a biatch who doesnt get fiery at all.

The way the Royals play is enough to take the fire out of anybody. You can only be all piss and vinegar for so long.

i think dayton's plan is to get some of our guys back healthy.

I think if we get elarton back then that may push perez back to the bullpen

then maybe dotel, bale, hudson, nelson & nunez, maybe some of those guys can provide some relief

we're gonna eff this all up.

i have confidence, or blind hope i'm not sure, in dayton's ability to improve this club. partially because he can't jack it up any more than it already is.

trade emil or sanders or somebody for a decent setup guy, thats what i'd do.

Having a firey manager is fine... but I'll just settle for smart. Joe Torre is a bump on a log... Felipe Alou, Tony LaRussa (although I sometimes question his moves), Ron Gardenhire, Terry Francona, Willie Randolph etc... all smart... none particularly firey.

Bell has cost us all of 1 game this year. You can put a silk hat on a pig all you want. He has to work with what he has. And that isn't much at this point.

The Cardinals have LaRussa, who probably hasn't had a pulse above 60 BPM for the last 2 decades. See what it got them? The ****ing world series CHAMPIONSHIP.

The Tigers made the WS because they had about 10 guys that could throw 95+. Leyland got outmanaged badly in the WS and I've seen it happen again this season. He's not a good tactical manager and his brand of motivation will only work for about 3 seasons.

It's the old boys network that they need to shake, Leyland is the personfication of the old boys network. They need some new blood, not just some lunatic like Larry Bowa that will come in and yell at people.

Bell's not a great manager, but to cite Leyland as the reason the Tigers made the series is just wrong. The Royals should've taken a chance with a younger guy. I'll bet they could've snagged Joe Girardi the season before he took the Mariners deal.
