Unreal... so I was putting him to bed tonight and he was talking about how he thought a Google Kids Earth would be cool. You could search kid games and pictures and videos.

GoogleKidsEarth.org

"Well, I told him... Google probably wouldn't you like them using their name in your business name."

"What about www.KidsEarth.org, then?"

"You know that is a great name. We could go check to see if it is available. "

And it was... so he is now the five year old founder of KidsEarth.org

heh.

That's awesome. Maybe he'll be an internet millionaire by 7. Kudos to you for helping your kid spark his imagination.

yeah he is a sharp kid. The kids take interest in what the parent is interested in, naturally, to seek attention and praise... turns out, he had a great idea while doing so.

Gotta love being a father.

Give the site a slogan: Instead of "The meek shall inherit the earth" You could change it to "The Kids shall inherit the Earth."

How does your kid plan on monetizing it?

I think my kids assume that everything already has a website. My son wanted some cool dinosaur shoes that he saw at T-Rex cafe, and didn't understand why www.cooldinosaurshoes.com wasn't a valid link. But that was back before my daughter discovered the internet, and she wants to be on there all of the time. She just turned 5 and can't read, but she has over 30 web pages that she has typed in and saved as favorites. Barbie.com, NickJR.com, CandyStand.com, DiscoveryKids.com, etc... I got tired of fighting for computer time and ran cat-5 to the sub-basement and hooked up the old PC.

Cool!

Several years ago when mine was 10 we built a lemonade stand with an awning and all, even a cash register. She came up with the name "Thirst Ade"...and the logo of two lemon yellow bandaids in a cross shape. I have a marketing genious here myself. It was also a hit.

Sell it to Mecca for a WWF: Raw video and a half used bottle of Avacodo shampoo.
