Just an idea....

Da Bears have the 31st pick in the 1st round and the 5th pick in the 2nd round.

Would it be worth it to trade down with Chicago? We swap first rounders with Chicago, and then we get their 1st pick (#5) in the 2nd round.

I don't have the value chart with me, so I'm just curious. I think it would be a good deal....

not sure about value chart, but when I try trades like that in madden (yeah, I know) I get laughed at-- I'd be all for it though (but I doubt they'd go for it)

The other GMs laugh at you on Madden now? Man games have come a long way.

I don't have a value chart, but my guess is that would be too much for moving up 8 spots at the end of the first.

they laugh at me by showing the interest level in trade at HIGHLY uninterested

Way too much to move up from #31 to #23. Its basically their first and a 3rd or 4th round pick.

Ehh, never mind...it wouldn't work.

The Chiefs first pick is worth 760 pts.

DaBears 31st pick (600 pts) and 5th pick in the 2nd round (530 pts)= 1130 pts.

The closest trade scenario, based on the point value chart would be to trade our 1st round pick to Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay then gives us their 3rd pick in the 2nd round (35th pick overall), and the last pick in the 2nd round which TB got from Indy (64th pick overall).

So, with that one- the Chiefs would not have a first rounder, but they would have picks number 35, 54, and 64 in the 2nd round.

Not sure I'd go for that...

I may be willing to move down 12 spots to gain an additional 2nd round pick. Depends on who's on the board and who is sliding.

OK...OK...how bout this? :D

Swap picks in the first round with New Orleans. We get their 27th pick in the first round, and their pick in the 3rd round, which would be the 88th pick? We move down four spots in the 1st and gain an additional 3rd rounder.

I suppose it depends on who is on the board at 23, but I would think you always have to consider trade down offers.

I'd pull the trigger on that in a heartbeat provided no one slipped to us at 23 that we really coveted.
