Has Detroit drafted something other than a wide receiver in the first round EVER?

Well they'd be completely stupid if they actually kept the pick then didn't take him.

Another WR?

He's by far the best player in the draft........it doesn't matter you take him if you are them.

Everyone pretty much would agree with this statement.

Their not scared to get another WR even though it hasnt helped, especially if hes supposedly a sure thing

Exactly. Just because past WR's haven't worked out doesn't mean you don' take the consensus top player of the draft.

Mike Martz offense, Kevin Jones, Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson?

Draft Trent Edwards or OL with the early 2nd round pick.....

To take Gaines Adams there would be the worst move possible.

It would be stupid not to take him. You can't let past failures keep you from making the right pick.

Well Roy Williams is good.......some guys work out some don't. But Calvin is about as close to can't miss as you can possibly get, he is the once in 20 years prospect at his position.

I hope they do take him. I live in Michigan and I would like to see the Lions take a guy that everyone says is a can't miss player. I would prefer the Chiefs take him but they are not in a position to do so.

Here in tampa their reporting like every three seconds that the bucs are in talks with the lions for their pick. They want Johnson bad over here...like really bad

I'd take him if I were Detroit. You can't let the fact that Mike Williams and Charles Rogers suck affect your decision.

Larry Johnson and Trent Green for the 2nd pick of the draft.

Green has worked with Martz before
