Miami tells Carl to phug off. Maybe we can trade Trent to Cleveland?

This sucks, this is the one thing that couldn't happen to the trade was Quinn falling to the Snowflakes. DAMNIT CARL

Or we can keep him. I'd rather Trent retire a Chief anyway, than get a 4th round pick for possibly the greatest KC QB of all time.

relax - Cammron does not have time to start freakin Brady Quinn next year - this changes nothing... they still need a starter.

You'd rather let him retire as a backup and get nothing for him than get a fourth to give the guy a chance to finish his career playing somewhere?

The smart thing to do is to trade up with Atlanta right now and steal Quinn from Miami.

We can then use both Green and Quinn as trade baits OR simply keep Quinn.

It changes the leverage the Chiefs have over the phins.

It's open competition. If we keep Green, we're going to give him plenty of shots to win the starting job. If he does what Trent Green does, he'll bounce back just fine and win the job this year.

Discuss. My first thought was "what if Okoye and Quinn are both sitting there". Of course Okoye gets picked next.

Sigh.

I don't want Quinn. I may be the only one.

I'd rather not have him either. I think we have more pressing needs and can get by with what we already have at QB this season. Hell, we don't even know what Croyle can do yet.

This is why this franchise has been horrid at developing QBs.

When you have the chance to take one LATE in the first round, you do it.

If Brady Quinn is there, I don't care what Brodie Croyle could do. Croyle's college numbers can't hold a candle to Quinn's.

The evaluation process is no exact science.

I'll take my chances with a potential franchise QB.

Do we have more pressing needs? Yes.

But a young franchise QB has been the most pressinge need for this organization forever.

I'm not willing to see what Croyle can do if Quinn is on the board.

The Bad Guy
04-28-2007, 12:21 PM
how?

Because you take him.

Croyle's history shows that he can't stay on the field.

You never know when you have the chance to get a franchise QB.

Quinn can be that guy. I don't care why he's slipped, guys slip every year.

He's very good and would be a steal at 23.

Who was it that wrote an article about Quinn dropping to Kansas City this week? :hmmm:

I believe quotes within that article indicated the Chiefs would draft Quinn.

It's hilarious how quickly ESPN turns. They were pimping Quinn for the 3rd pick of the draft, then like "hey, he'll go to Miami instead, what a steal for the Fins".

Now all of a sudden Quinn is the most overrated player in the history of football.

Typical ESPN love fest. Its obvious he's overrated or he would've beat USC at least once in his college career

RUMOR ALERT: Trent Green has basically packed up his stuff in K.C. and is heading to Miami, per an industry source.

Brady is pissed all these teams passed on him.

He will make them pay.

Croyle has potential, but Quinn is first round talent. These opportunities don't come around very often, especially for the Chiefs (if he falls to us).
