We didn't need Brady Quinn. We need WR's, OL, DL and CB's.

Good pick Carl/Herm... the Browns saved you from making the wrong pick.

Nobody saved us from making the wrong anything. We still ended up with the wrong pick.

Meh... never know which WR will end up being the best of the lot. Bowe is big and has good hands. I like it.

I gotta agree with you beer me. Plus, the general consensus is we won't be good next year so a top pick could result in a QB next year.

What is Bowe's speed? and quickness?

Kiper described him as good speed but not a burner.

And you would have picked....

I would have taken Jarrett. From what I've read, Bowe isn't a bad pick.

About 5 picks before the Chiefs picked, Kiper said Bowe, then Meachem were the best WR's available.

Yeah, Sully who?

Bowe runs a 4.5........

Anyone mad about that pick is one of the people that didn't want a WR first.

4.4 at combine I think. Most people do not mention him as "good" hands. He body catches a lot.

As long as it doesn't wind up on the ground or in the hands of a defensive player.

I saw an interview with Jarrett on ESPN the other day with Trey Wingo and Jarrett said he think's he's better than any other WR in the draft including Calvin Johnson. Confidence is good but he just struck me as too cocky. I'm glad we didn't take him.

Of course only time will tell who is actually better. Obviously Jarrett is the only one that thinks he's the best WR... and maybe GoChiefs.

Slow receiver off the line (not good when our passing game is predictable and our O-Line isn't very good).
Slow in line speed
Average hands (catches with body)

...but at least he blocks good.

This is just one more sign that we will continue the run, run, pass punt offense.

I'm not going to pretend to know a lot about individual players but Kiper had him ranked higher than the remaining WR's so he must have some good things going for him other than his size.

Kiper also once had Mike Williams as the top player on his board.

Bowe's got a lot of upside. He's got very good speed for his size. He's arguably the best route runner in the draft and he's pretty elusive in the open field.

I'm still OK with the pick. Like I've said, at least he was a highly rated player at a position of need... not Brady Quinn.

I hope I'm wrong.
I hope the comparison with Irvin is legit.
I hope that he can learn to be quicker off the line, which I think is the second most important trait a WR can have.
I may be overreacting right now, basing my anger ff emotion... but right now I'm pissed about it.

No problem. Im not sure if this place would ever agree on any one pick, no matter who they drafted at this spot.

Drafting a WR is an indication that we will run a lot? Huh?

And obviously Bowe was the highest WR left on the Chiefs' board. Their scouts believe he's better than Meachem, I have no problem with that. Not much value at other positions.

This has been re-hashed a million times.

I heard Boerigter on 810 a couple of years ago say POINT BLANK when asked about his eyes:

"I don't know where that came from. I don't have any problems with my eyes and never have."
