Sorry if this is a repost, I looked but I didnt see anything about it on here yet...

I guess according to Orangebloods.com (The Rivals Texas site) Ramonce Taylor is expected to sign with the Chiefs on Friday. He has some pretty big off the field issues with marijuana, but the guy is one helluva playmaker. He could be the next Dante Hall? Here is one of the sources which is actually off the Broncos board
http://forums.denverbroncos.com/showthread.php?t=93503

and here is his 2005 highlight video

Nice theme music for this guy. :p

Hope this is true though, but if he ever hesitates on the goal line like he did in the OSU game he will get ****ed up!

If this guy is as good as they say may as well give him a shot, then he can be cut if he is a pot head. What kind of draft choice would he have been without marijuana issues?

Good signing. Low risk and only upside. If he sucks or smokes too much dope, or goes LJ then can him.

He's got some speed. I hope we do give him a shot. Hell, Jared Allen is probably more of a liability as a drunk than this guy would be as a pothead. If he can keep his smoking to 4 months a year, he'll be fine.

Found this highlight video too. It has a lot of the same highlights but I think a few that weren't on there. That and the theme song is even better for this kind of player...

If this guy comes in with a clear head he could be a star. I really hope this rumor is true.

Hey, those of you who watch Big 12 Football, can you tell me how impactful he was on a weekly basis? I mean highlights are fine and dandy but I like to know about the overall season performance. Anyone?

Excellent signing.

If this kid can taper off the cheeba a bit he will be a big contributor to this football team. He's a big time playmaker.

Busted with weed at a young age...thats one thing, but showing up with a gun at a FAMILY REUNION???...thats a different matter. How many stories like this have to happen before these jackass' figure it out???

What was the deal with the Buckeye game in the endzone. It didn't look like he came out. He stopped at the line, but I guess he never downed the ball and they tried to tackle him.

It looked like a Dante move, but he ended up getting 35-40 yards out of it.

Heck of a kick returner though.

Hopefully he can return punts. We dont have a punt returner. Eddie Kennison is getting to old to be doing that job.

When guys play a position we suck at.......while having tons of talent and having return ability looking at him is really a no lose situation. At worst you cut him and lose nothing....at best you find a player.

If he didn't have issues he'd have gotten drafted and he can do alot of things, it's well worth a shot.

But remember, in some middle east countries, at weddings, they shoot machine guns into the air..

Please excuse my ignorance. Why can't we have the same person do punts as kickoffs. Webb did well at kickoffs last year. Why can't he do punts also. Will someone please explain the difference? I have always wondered why some teams have different returners for punts and kicks.

Some guys don't like to do punts, or aren't very good at it. It is not the same as doing kickoffs......

I remember watching that live. He started to take it out of the endzone, then decided to down it, but the ref right there was like "you crossed the goal line" (barely) and hes like "sh*t gotta go" and avoided the safety for a huge gain.

One of the crazier kickoff returns I've ever seen.

Read a couple articles where some were comparing him to Reggie Bush! Minus the weed and guns.
Still no word on his signing?

http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/rb/ramoncetaylor.html

Strengths:
Great natural athlete...More quick than fast and plays faster than he times...Has the speed to go outside and turn the corner...Extremely versatile...Agile with nice balance...Very good hands and can be a weapon as a receiver...He has shown he can play with the best and stand out...Explosive and is a big play threat...Really stood out at a couple of All-Star games...A fantastic return man...Still has upside.

Weaknesses:
Has some major off-the-field and character concerns...Intelligence and maturity are question marks...Size and bulk are just average...Not much of a blocker...Sub par inside runner...Doesn't break a lot of tackles...May only be a situational type.

Notes:
Was kicked off the football team as a sophomore in high school...Was suspended in 2006 for academic reasons and was later arrested for drug possession when police found five pounds of marijuana in his backpack...Transferred to NAIA Texas College but did not play due to his academic troubles...A top talent to be sure but some teams won't even consider drafting him due to all the baggage...A classic boom or bust pick who could be a steal if he keeps his head on straight or out of the league before he ever plays a game...An intriguing prospect to say the least.

I do like his quick direction adjustments. Could it be he went under the draft radar ala Priest Holmes?

I understand those points & they're good ones, but we had better have a plan B...because this guy could have a meltdown in a New York Minute.

This story has sounded weak from the beginning. Someone says days in advance that we're going to sign an UDFA "on Friday"? Is he Ed Hartwell? Did he need 48 hours to make a decision? Did they need to delay the deal because not everyone could be here right away for the huge press conference?

Someone at another forum says that they've spoken with Ramonce personally and that he has no knowledge of any interest KC has in signing him.
