Moving

I hate moving. I took 2 vacation days so I can get this done. The reason for my move is to be closer to my son and work. I currently live 15 miles from my job. My new place is only 6 miles away from my job. 12 miles a day, instead of 30 miles. I am just about done packing. I start moving stuff tomorrow. Phone, internet, Dish will be on tomorrow. Everything is falling into place, which scares me. Now, I am just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

If you can afford it....hire a moving company. Just don't hire them to pack your shit.

I used to work for a moving company....and they really don't take "care" of your stuff when they pack it. They just want to hurry up and get done.

9 moves in 12 yrs in the Army. I feel your pain. Quit buying nice stuff early on because no matter how well packed sh!t happens. I will pay movers the next time I ever move and endure the scratches and broken items.
