If hiring a new GM would guarantee a Super Bowl it would be good to do, what you have to figure is that nothing is for sure.

I want to see the Chiefs running in high gear for a few years running and creating the standard for other teams to emulate. I don't see the foresight in the organization to ever do that, some thing has to change. I personally don't think that CP is the key to change, but I also don't think the time is right to strip the organization of it's leadership.

Get a HC that is currently an OC with good play calling skills and hire a solid DC to be Assistant Head Coach: Defense. It might work. That would probably be better than what you have now and DV as GM would be a nightmare.
